Calculate your costEnter the amount of storage you're actually using. (Not your storage tier.)

How much storage are you actually using?
Most cloud storage providers use a tiered pricing scheme. But here's the dirty little secret they won't tell you:
Most people use less than half of their allotted storage amount.

Don't compare apples and oranges.

Fair Pricing
Tiered pricing systems are, by definition, unfair to a large percentage of its customers.
Imagine if a gas station decided to charge every customer the same fixed price to fill their tank. What price would the gas station pick? Not the cost of the smallest car, because then they'd lose money. And not the cost of the most expensive car either, because then every customer would be upset. So the gas station would need to pick a price somewhere in the middle.

Which means that approximately 50% of its customers are going to end up paying more, and 50% are going to pay less. This might sound great if you’re driving a truck with a larger gas tank. But it also means the smaller customers are getting ripped off, in order to subsidize the larger customers. And we think that’s unfair.
With us you only pay for what you use. If you only use half a gigabyte, then we only charge you for half a gigabyte. We're talking pennies, or even fractions of a penny.
PS We don't round up your cost. We have the ability to charge you fractions of a penny.

Here's how it works
When you create your account, we'll give you $10 credit. At the end of every month, we calculate your bill based on how much storage you used. This amount is deducted from your available balance. If your balance is still above zero, then you're good to go. If it drops below zero, then we'll pester you for money.
Payments are simple. You can make a onetime payment at anytime to topup your account. Or you can setup automatic payments, and we'll automatically topup your account for you when your balance drops below zero.
How we save you money:

How we save you money:
Files stored in the cloud are automatically transitioned to Infrequent Access after not being modified/accessed for 30 days. If a transitioned file is then not modified/accessed for an additional 60 days, it's automatically transitioned to Cold Storage. So you pay less for files you store longer. For most users, this represents over 90% of their storage.
Storage is billed using a unit called "gigabyte months", which means "1 gigabyte stored for an entire month". This is similar in concept to a "kilowatt hour" on your electric bill. And the idea is to charge you the minimum amount possible. If you only store a document for 10 days, then we only charge you for those 10 days.
We don't round up your cost. We have the ability to charge you fractions of a penny. We can do this because we're just deducting from your balance in a computer system. After all, those fractions of a penny are yours, and we think you deserve them.
Here are some examples to help you wrap your head around the idea:
Example #1
Alice stores a total of 1.5 GB (in cold storage) for the entire month. She pays 8.1¢ for the first gig, and 3.55¢ (7.1 / 2) for the second half gig. Her total storage cost for the month is $0.1155.
Example #2
Bob stores nothing for first half of the month, and then stores 3 GB (in standard storage) for the second half of the month. His total storage cost is: (0.10 / 2) + (0.09 / 2) + (0.08 / 2) = $0.135
